This museum is well worth a visit for aeroplane fanatics and children with a fascination for flight alike. It has a good array of antique aircraft from Canadian and US history and a large collection of engines. For children, they can go inside one and others have steps for them to peer inside the cockpit. The docents are knowledgeable and... More

Wonderful static and permanent aircraft, art, historical memorabilia. Also rotating visiting displays and hands-on interactive displays such as flight simulators, video displays/demonstations and ladders to cockpit of various planes. New tent gave extra space for more even more aircraft. The refurbished models are painstakingly and accurately built to scale, parts often crafted by hand. Truly awe-inspiring. Warning: may leave a... More

One of the staff was a wartime mechanic, he was very friendly, showing our group around. Another male staff was hostile to young kids though, pointed at our group of 3 years olds, said, "If you run, i would throw you out. I have too much liability. There are too many sharp objects around. One kid got 14 stitiches." Our... More

I stayed overnight nearby and stopped here the next morning before heading to Banff. My son and I are aviation enthusiasts and I used to fly so I had to stop here. The museum has a fine collection of vintage and restored aircraft. You can view aircraft from the main floor or a gallery from above. The staff takes great... More

My son visited the Aero Space Museum as part of a school field trip - it was really a great field trip! We had a few poeple talk to the kids about how they got the planes and fixed them up. We had plenty of time to tour around and see the displays and walk right under some of the... More
