I loved this park because it captures all the elements of the history of Alberta. My favorite part was the old amusement park with lots of old rides, whitch are very fun. Overall this is an amazing park. Christian age 10

The real full sized steam train is great for kids, as is the historical village and old time amusement park. We saw Thomas the Tank Engine there and they did a great job. We bought a yearly pass!
Hi eastmeetswestCanada-

Hi Rick H,
Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that you don't feel like you received the best value possible during your visit. We think it’s an extremely competitive family product in Calgary, but we recognize that everyone appreciates something different when enjoying a day out with family. If you (or the kids) ever change your mind, we...

This 127-acre park was one of the grandest celebrations of Albertan history I could ever imagine! It was a short bus ride from the Heritage stop on the C-Train’s Red Line. There was also plenty of parking onsite. Judging from the scores of school field trip busses it had to be a fantastic place for school-aged children. Already committed, I...

This park features late 1850 - 1950 attractions, old buildings and antiques on display in settings in which they would be used. A small 1960's era amusement park with rides (ferris wheel, merry go round etc.) targeted mostly to the under 16 year old sect. Interesting dining options from ice cream on the board walk to Sunday bunches and fine...

Hi Nakodo,
We're pleased that you seem to have enjoyed the wide range of dining options available here at the Park. We're quite proud of the variety offered here for our guests.
Although the Antique Midway looks like it could be from the 1960's - it's rides actually date from the early 1900s to 1920s! Thanks very much for your...

We try to visit this attraction once very two years (it's quite costly for a family of six). The kids do not find it overly interesting, but we adults sure do. As the kids get older, we explain to them how much more difficult things were "back in the day" and how lucky we are now. The homes are very...

Railway Cafe is reasonable and has excellent, fresh pastries, soups, sandwiches. We had the brunch buffet at Gunn's Dairy Barn in April, which I understand is moving to a hotel now that "in season" is approaching. The buffet was $14.95 and excellent. Followed with a visit to Gasoline Alley Museum to see the antique cars and the largest collection of...
