We went to the Fairmont for dinner. It was very good and very expensive. We made a reservation through the concierge so the waitstaff seemed to think we were staying at the hotel, so the service was excellent! They were falling over themselves to see if everything was fine with the meal. Very professional. Funny at the end when we... More

This is a fabulous hotel with everything you would expect from Fairmont. Add perhaps the most beautiful scenery you could ever find. Great dining space. Great rooms. Beautiful scenery. FIRST class service. So why 4 stars? It's simple: The MASSES of tourists being toured through the hotel all day and night. It seemed to be more a part of a... More

We loved our 2 night stay at the Fairmont, Lake Louise. The room decor was very classical and there was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The large walk in wardrobe was a great feature as it kept the room uncluttered (yes we were travelling with our young daughter). Despite being March, we loved the small balcony (enough... More

well when you go to Lake Louise it's the only hotel on Lake Louise so if you want to stay on the lake there is no other choice but it's very beautiful, very well kept, pricy but worth it for your once in a lifetime visit! my only beef with this place is that the restaurants there were never open... Beautiful location in the Canadian Rockies, on a blue-green lake at the foot of a glacier. Stately, Canadian railrord historic chateau puts the fine in fine accommodations, fine dining, fine activities and absolutely amazing views. Ya gotta go here!

The Chateau is a nice hotel with great history with beautiful scenery. The rooms are usually too warm and you'll have to leave the window open at night. The wifi is $15 unless you're a Fairmont Premium member. If you don't want to pay for parking the trailhead parking lot is a 2 minute walk away but if you're that... More

This is definitely an over-the-top place, from the tapestries behind the reception desk, to the outdoor bar carved entirely of ice, to the antler chandeliers in the corridors, but the setting is beautiful and you get what you pay for. The views of the lake are outstanding and the ice sculptures are worth the visit in winter. The food was... More

I have put a full review of this over-priced, out-dated and cheerless hotel elsewhere on trip advisor so won't go through it all again. They charge $400+ for a room - and then start adding-on charges for everything from car parking to wi-fi. Wi-fi, for goodness sake - in this day and age?

Nice food, in a lovely setting, but you pay for it! The service was reasonable, but not outstanding. I would stay in the village for better value for money.
