Despite the price for journey up sulphur mountain in a cable car the views at the top are stunning. Make sure you go on a clear day and take a coat with you as it can get chilly on the top of the mountain in a short space of time

One negative, it was a holiday weekend and the wait in lines was massive which took a bit of pleasure out of the visit, well organized but just too many people!

I would rate the gondola ride itself as 3 stars, pretty standard fare, but the views and small hikes at the top are stunning.

We decided to do the Alpine Lights dinner and gondola ride on our first night into Banff. It was a perfect way to start our vacation. The views are stunning, and the food was pretty darn good. For the price, I don't think we could get a better deal.

Relax and just enjoy the ride. We went before any dining was open, it would have been fun to go in the summer and eat at the top. Its also very cold up there in May.

This was by far the best part of our trip. The views form the top are spectacular. Don't for get to go to the very top for the observation deck. The short hike to the weather station was amazing. Wear comfortable shoes and also layer your clothes as it is more colder when you reach the top.

I thought I was sitting in a postcard at the top! Stunning views - a complete ' must do' if you are in Banff.

The scenery at the top of the gondola is stunning. We were there in December so it was snow covered and gorgeous. The boardwalk allowed easy walking around the top of the mountain and provided many many places to stop and look and take photos. This is definitely worth doing.

The Banff Gondola is a must do. It is an easy public bus ride from town; friendly desk staff and gondola operators got us on quickly and off we went. Magnificent views on the way. On arrival there is a comfortable and warm inside area but a trip outside is a must. At this point we were at about 7000...

Alberta Prime Rib dinner was fantastic, almost as great as the views; Saturdays only (for now) two seatings, friendly staff. We were sceptical because the price with a ride up the Gondola was so inexpensive ($49pp), but we were pleasantly surprised and hope that...
