I've skied all the resorts close to Calgary; Norquay, Nakiska, Lake Louise, Castle Mountain... and without question Sunshine gets the best snow! There is ample terrain for beginner, intermediate and expert skiers. Often when I ski with the family, part of our group will separate for a small section where there are both intermediate and advanced terrain, and then meet... More

Massive ski area, with lots of variety spread over 3 mountains. More suited to intermediates & experts than beginners, though the runs from the Wawa chair would help a beginner build up their skills. Spectacular views when the weather's good, plenty of runs in the trees when visibility is not so good. Not much in the way of lift queues,... More

We spent 2 weeks of sunny, snowy skiing runs in this most out this world village. Because of El Nina the deepest snow in 10 years!!! People are friendly, the trails are well groomed and the powder was "magnifique" The down side is the too small parking lot, but there is an efficient shuttle service! Although we were not staying... Wow. With a name like Sunshine I was sure this wouldn't be a hardcore ski resort but boy was I wrong. Not only is the skiing out of this world but the views from every location in the village is truly breathtaking, out of this world. I felt like I was a broken record exclaiming praise at every turn! You... More

This was my teenagers 1st time to ski and what a beautiful place to experience sking. I rode the gondola up to the lodge to meet them at the end of the day and the scenery was absolutly breathtaking. We stayed in Banff at the Rim Rock hotel which was amazing. Everyone was very friendly! More

We skied over Easter, which the locals said is really busy compared to europe your on a lift in 2 minutes. It has so many runs we loved it and went 9 days out of 11 skiing days on our last day we found 5 new runs we had'nt been on before. My son had the 3 day lessons and... More

Sunshine seems close to Banff, but by the time you drive the long road, park a mile away from the gondola and walk up, then ride the gondola for 25 minutes, you would already be skiing at Lake Louise. I found the runs were all the same and many had flat spots that are tough on our snowboarding son. Food... More

Very organized operation and professional staff. Lots of variety in the runs and many runs to choose from. The kids really enjoyed the super long run down to the parking lot at the end of the day. Bring your own food drinks however, the prices in the lodge are extremely high, as can be expected when they have a monopoly... More

On arrival the car parks were packed, However this ski area is hugh and well worth the 20min gondala ride to the top. The signage on the mountain were excellent and every level of skier/board has options from the lifts. If i had my time again, i would definately spend the night there ad get some first tracks, the views... More

This is probably my favorite hill in the area. Its so massive that it has runs for all different types of levels of skiers/snowboarders. The quad lifts are so fast that you dont even need to be their the whole day to get worn out. Theonly thing that sucks is it often gets windy at the top but thats what... More
