Unfortunately, all Rivera paintings were out on loan when I visited. There was an interesting temporary exhibition of ceramics works by two brother artists.

Some years ago the small exhibition gallery was open to house some local artists. Perhaps it has reached its goal, but the quality of the exhibitions are not great, from pottery to paintings, this free gallery is open to everyone. When taking a tour in Xalapa, make some time (20 mins will do) to visit this space, located just down...

And there never have been evidently. Only in name. It is a small gallery with very good works but don't go looking for Diego Rivera's work. Go to Mexico City to the Palacio National to see his murals.
