I've seen whales in Hawaii and Alaska but have never had them right next to us as in this zodiac trip. Capt. Wesley kept us right in the middle of pods of pilot whales for most of our trip. Great photo ops. Easy to work with and efficient April and Wesley make this a great family business to deal with.... More

we did two zodiac rides in one day one in the morning and my wife and i enjoyed it soo much that we had to come back for another one in the afternoon. On the morning ride we got to see pilot whales as they were traveling down along the coast of pleasant bay, but during the afternoon zodiac ride... More

Well, it certainly wasn't the most expensive ($60 for myself and two kids), but even still, it wasn't worth it! We were expecting the zodiac but got the big boat instead, and instead of going out at 12:30 as advertised, the boat was late and we didn't get out until 2:00 p.m.!!! There's late, and then there's LATE!!!! It almost... More

This is a general review because when we got to Cape Breton we found there were different places to take the tours from and we would have liked to have a comparison of the difference between them. Bay St Lawrence, Cheticamp, Pleasant Bay were locations we were able to identify. There may be more. Bay St Lawrence was too far... More

Wesley knows what he is doing , we saw a lot of whales. I got see sick ( I always do) but still it was nice experience. We saw just one kind of whales (pilot something) The are not very big but we saw a lot of them and very close to the ship (like 3-4 meters) Recommended. You can... More

We went out with Wesley Senior on the Zodiac and within minutes we spotted a pod of pilot whales (blackfish family). Of all my whale watching experiences around the world (Australia, NZ, St John's NFL, Alaska), this was definitely the most upclose and personal you can get to aquatic wildlife. We found about 5 pods of 5-10 pilot whales; 2... More

Our group included 4 kids, and the day was choppy. The captain offered to take us out, for free for 15 minutes, to determine if the kids could handle the waves. Once out, we were told that whales had been spotted, the kids were comfortable, and off we went. I appreciated the honesty and concern for safety, and also that... More

We took the 5 p.m. boat tour which was a bit cheaper than the ones during the afternoon. We later found out that the price is likely reduced because the whales are not feeding at this time and are less likely to jump out of the water. Nevertheless, the experience was wonderful. We only saw pilot whales, but we saw... More

We booked for 12 noon to go on the big boat. We reached there on time and lady on the counter said, oh we cancelled the 12 noon tour and we're going at 1:15pm why don't you go our restaurant and come back at 1pm. So we went to their restaurant, which was OK. Came back at 1pm and found... More

We are staying in Pleasant Bay specifically to do a whale watch, and were not disappointed. We liked that we stayed within sight of shore - very close, actually, and still found a pod of Pilot Whales. Got some great videos. Very accomodating folks that run the operation.
