“The ONLY way to tour Sian Ka'an!”

We booked the Sian Ka'an/Muyil tour with Aldo (www.visitsiankaan.com) and could not have been happier. We were picked up from our hotel and our very small group set out early. Aldo grew up exploring the Sian Ka'an Bioreserve so he is very knowledgable and passionate about the area. He is an all-around ecologist and enjoyed answering any and all question.... More

“A float trip down the Sian Ka'an canal”

We took a guided boat/float trip into the Sian Ka'an reserve. It was a great tour, and the lunch after the trip was great also, I highly recommend it. More

The ruins were beautiful, but the highlight was the float down the canal that was dug out by the Mayans. You put your life vest on like a diaper and let the current carry you downstream...it's really fun! Also, I got to see quicksand. Very neat....Its by the pier where you get on the boat to go float. I absolutely loved the tour with Aldo into the beautiful nature of the Sian Ka'an biosphere. I felt like immersing into a natural treasure. We spent the day with Aldo from " visitsiakaan". He was exceptional to say the least. This reserve holds a wealth of unique eco systems and with Aldo as our guide we were able to go deep inside the preserve and visit many varied eco areas and Aldo took great pride in sharing his knowledge and passion for the area.... what a great tour! learn about Mayans, birds, the land, the ecosystem in the Yucatan and more! They have showers there, so bring a towel if you'd like to freshen up before your meal (which is included). More

seeing the bio-reserve and then walking through the jungle to the slightly restored muyil ruins was wonderful. a welcome change from the mob scene at tumil. guide was very knowledgeable. tour run by co-op of people who live in the reserve. only 10 of us at the ruin. More

This place seems a step back in time.. a 2 hour drive through the jungle on dirt raods gets you to this hidden paradise where you can sea turtles, dolphins and the worlds second largest coral reef untouched. More
