The place is very good, you can understand a lot of the cacao history and they have very interesting Chocolates, ask for the Chaac ceremony they do one a day More

We visited because it is right on the wat between Kabah and the caves so it was nice but would not drive there only to see it. More

You will learn more about the Mayan culture here, than anywhere else in the Yucatan. We went here before going to Uxmal and it helped a lot. You get to try fresh Mayan hot chocolate and see how it is made. The gardens are beautiful. A must see. More

Very nicely done museum. Interesting and beautiful. Shows you culture and history. But a decent ride from Merida. Tie in a quick visit to Kabah ruins and a lunch at The Pickled Onion! More

The beauty and the quality of this place are striking. The lanscaping, the design, the thoughful attention to detail, and the informative way everything is presented are top-notch. I loved seeing the chocolate in all different stages and all the different uses. The chocolate bars were amazing, the coffee and chocolate drinks superb. These people really do chocolate well. More

A really nice gem of a "museum". The museum is a series of Maya huts with walkways between. There is really nicely presented information on the history of cacao and chocolate in each, and between them there are lots of native plants with descriptions provided.
