A beautiful campus of historical buildings spread over many blocks and built up the hillside. They had a nice exhibit of art in the courtyard. You can get into most buildings by walking up the callejons(alleys) surrounding the university.

This building is made of cut cantera. Lots of limestone. Very nice work!!! Like so many things about Guanajuato, this building is unique to the village of Guanajuato. Check-out the stairs to the theater. Great foto op:))

We did walk inside but the main building of the campus is an incredible, huge, and unique structure. Stand in front of the main stairway and be awed by the shape and size. Since it is so very close to the center of town it only takes five minutes to get there.
