we always go to the mercado when in PV. most of their items are reasonable but you have to haggle down the price they give you. got some cute things but have never purchased jewelry there. have tried the eateries on the second floor and have found them to be hit n miss. sometimes the food is good but we... Mercado Municipal Rio Cuale We are currently on our 5th trip to PV in the last 3.5 years. We go to the Mercado at least once on every trip! This place is really amazing. This is a great place to go to look for the perfect Mexican souvinier. Lots of handmade crafts at affordable rates. A couple of tips - don't go on Sunday as most of the merchants aren't open, and go upstairs first. Most of the vendors sell the same types of items.
