I live here in Mazatlan and have for about 20 years and I still like getting away from lots of tourism by going to Stone Island and eating at Victor's restaurant. It is a short little boat, panga, from Mazatlan side to the Island and then either a walk or an open air taxi to the beach. The food at... More

Book a tour (some all inclusive with activities) or simply take the water taxi, pick a spot and arrange your own activities. Enjoy a day or afternoon on a fine beach. Enjoy lunch or have a drink at one of the many restaurants and you can use the chairs and palapas for the afternoon. Just relax or enjoy some of... More

Especially on Sundays which is Mexican family day. Great ambience. Terrific for adults. Fun for kids. Many, many interesting places to eat and/or drink. A MUST SEE in Mazatlan. More

Do you like gorgeous beach? Calm, warm ocean waters? Fine sand? Fresh oysters? Hammocks? Simplicity? Stone Island is not luxury; it is not a resort. It is an absolutely spectacular, peaceful setting, with thatched-roof beach-side restaurants serving fresh-grilled fish on plastic chairs and tables. You can do stuff here. There are horseback riding, four-wheeling, banana boating, and parasailing. You can... More

Looking for something different than sitting by the pool? We took the tour and had read the reviews about doing it yourself and not taking the tour. Well, I enjoyed the boat tour and being picked up at the hotel. Did not have long enough on the beach at the Island. The horses are sad and slow, the banana boat... More

Unless you travel there on your own, and get to the good restaurants, I would not suggest it. Our tour was not very good, and soooo long!!! Was dusty, dirty, and a bit on the sad side. Do it on your own, don't pay for a tour. More

A definite must...this is a guided tour...you will always remember the phrase...take a picture... It is a good value that includes lunch and beverage, horse riding, ATV, banana raft towed by a boat, etc. More
