Spent a great morning with Jane and Alfredo. We went as a family to appreciate learning about street food. We were taught by a very patient and relaxed Alfredo about Mexican peppers, salsa and with hands on experience mastered making tacos, tortillas, sopas, etc. My teenagers even enjoyed the experience. The habiscus magarita was the icing on the morning. We... More

Spent a great morning with Jane and Alfredo learning about Mexican peppers and learning to make tacos, tortillas, sopas, etc. Teenage boys even enjoyed the experience. Alfredo is a very relaxed and knowledgeable instructor. Would highly recommend this attraction to all 'foodies' visiting Huatulco. More

I took this class after reading all the positive reviews ... I wasn't disappointed! The other reviews give plenty of detail so I won't repeat the same information. What a great way to spend a morning learning about local food, how to make it and then enjoying it for lunch. I'll definitely take another class next time we visit the... More

I enjoyed this experience last year, so I did it again. We learned the basics of three different salas along with making the perfect tortilla. It was an enjoyable time with a small group and personalized attention along with eating the results. Next year . . Moles. They have five different classes. I plan to take each one! Call Jane... My wife and I learned about the "street food workshop" class through Trip Advisor. The class sounded like a great way to learn about local culture and foods, and the reviews were all very positive, so we signed up for the class in advance of our mid-February trip. We had a wonderful time learning how to cook authentic Mexican street... More

3 of us attended the "street food" class and passed a grand 4 hours with Alfredo and Jane. The class is taught low key and with simple instructions. Plan to add this fun, learning experience to your Huatulco stay. The lunch we made was simple but delicious and the Hibiscus Margheritas were unique. More

My girlfriend Jennifer and I had the pleasure of being in the presence of Alfredo and Jane during this amazing cooking class. Not only did we learn to cook during the class, we also felt we've made some fantastic friends. With a wonderful group, we accomplished making five different kinds of roasted salsa, corn tortillas from scratch, and hibiscus flour... More

We signed up for the "Street Food" class while we were there in December. Enjoyed our morning with Alfredo and Veronica immensely. Learned about the ingredients and their origins, where to source these and some heartwarming stories from Alfredo's youth and the memories these ingredients and dishes evoked. We made delicious quesadillas, tlayudas and tacos with authentic salsas and got... More

I appreciated learning the traditional "old school" ways to make tortillas and salsas. A very lovely morning, delicious food, hands on participation and tasting. More

A friend and I went to this class during our vacation to Huatulco. They sent a cab to pick us up directly from our hotel and took us to Cafe Juanita where the class is held in Santa Cruz. The room where the class is held is quite small and very warm once the cooking gets started so I would... More
