Only for locals. The stores there are a tourist trap. Nothing worth to see. More

We walked to the park around 8 am some mornings to do a few laps. One morning we heard the lion roar, and I was surprised at how loud it was. This park is just FULL of animals. Some in little cages, and some in large fenced areas, and some on a little island. Excellent variety of animals. The paved... More

We were encouraged to visit the park by our resort as a fun family outing. At best it was a waste of our time. The park was packed dirt and the water features were all dry. The "zoo" consisted of one alligator, two ancient deer and a monkey named Charlie who is out on an island. The day we visited... More

We visited Parque Papagayo in Jan. 2007. It's a pretty place to walk. The park is shaded, landscaped, and has many exhibits to look at, including islands with uncaged monkeys swinging through the trees! Also alligators and caimans, a lion, paddle boats and bicycle carriages for rent, children’s play areas, families strolling, teenagers necking, lakes, and pretty flowers. There is... More

I last visited Parque Papagayo during April, 2006 and very much enjoyed the walk through the park, time spent amongst the families, the green grass and nice lagoons where people were in small boats enjoying themselves. The park is a welcome oasis, a surprise to many people who think Acapulco's just all about beaches. The park is conveniently located almost... More

Very sad to see this park go to waste, I used to live in acapulco 10 years ago and I remember going to the park for a good place to relax and entertain. I went back last year May 2003, and it was so awful, all the artificial lakes were polluted with drainage, garbage ( tires, plastic containers, beer bottles... More
