Thanks to our friend and driver, Max Salinas, we made our way to laguna de Tres Palos for a trip on the lagoon. It was one of the most relaxing days ever, and the beauty of this place, the opportunities for photography, and the delightful meal after was well worth it. Rest. Los Bou Bous prepared a wonderful meal and... More

And bargaining for your fish! The local fisherman will sell you his catch for an amazing deal (in Pesos of course). If you have access to a kitchen & prefer to cook it yourself - do it! Fresh caught fish, take it to the nearby restaurant for a few pesos & they'll clean it & ice it for you to... More

Baldo does it again!!! on our last day in Acapulco, Baldo suggested that we go to the lagoon and have lunch at this fantastic place called los Bou Bous. This restaurant they take your order, you select a fresh swimming fish, and they cook it for you two different ways (chili and garlic). While they are cooking your food, you... More

My wife and I spent several hours on a pontoon boat with local guide maneuvering around this unique lagoon outside of Acapulco. We saw numerous flamingos, flocks of pelicans, some beautiful huge storks, hundreds of herons and egrets, eagles, hawks, kingfishers, and many more varieties of birds. We then had lunch at the pontoon guide's family restaurant on the shoreline.... More

My experience was February 17th 2008 & we made prior arrangements with Sabastian Hernandez a professional guide to show us the sites for the day. The Lagoon tour was 10.00 USD per person & lasted about 90 minutes. The wildlife was extremely abundant with many different species of birds & a very ample supply of fish. Our Guide was very... More

In Jan. 2007, we went on a boat tour of the Tres Palos lagoon to birdwatch. To arrange the tour, we basically just hopped in a cab at our hotel and told the driver what we wanted. The driver said it was no problem. He took us to a restaurant beside the lagoon. A couple of phone calls were made,... More
