The La Paz Malecon is just like the name says...peaceful. The boardwalk stretches for what seems like miles. Maybe this is because you just seem to stroll along at your own pace while enjoying the sound of the water next to you. It doesn't take long walking along the malecon to work up an appetite...it is lined with so many...

We went to the Malecon every evening of our stay. We had fond memories of it from a trip we made over 15 years ago and it lived up to them - no problem. Walking the Malecon is a wonderful way to enjoy a bit of Mexican culture and get some exercise! Being by the water is delightful and the...

We visit the Malecon regularly and it is beautiful with lots to do. It's a great place to watch the sunset or go for an evening stroll as the lights from the city start coming on. It's also great during the heat of the day and be sure to stop and get some ice cream at La Fuente.

We walked the malecon and lunched at a cantina along the way. We enjoyed watching the unique bird life frequenting the bay, including egrets, herons, and the numerous pelicans. The bronze sculpures along the malecon are a beautiful example of the pride of the local people in their wonderful community.

There are no vendors harassing you here. The school kids liked to practice their English with us and many stopped to chat. We didn't see alot of other tourists and their was always a palapa available on the beach to relax in some shade. The Malecon is long and is wonderful for relaxing evening strolls. Felt very safe here.
