I went to Ao Nang in May 2009 and it was really serene and quiet then. Fast forward to April 2012 and things have greatly changed, mostly for the worse. Bars have mushroomed and things have gotten a lot less serene and more noisy. I now have to find another hidden gem in Thailand. More

This beach was gorgeous! I loved the fact that you could buy beer and food from the little boats. We walked over to Railay from here and it was an easy stroll through some lovely surroundings. Highly recommended. More

While the walk to the beach is a bit of a tourist trap selling the same thing over and over the beach does offer good swimming.
