Unbeatable North East coastal scenery. Naturally laid-out, established golf course running along Embleton Bay from Dunstanburgh Castle to Low Newton. A warm welcome too in the clubhouse for golfers, walkers and others alike.

Drive to Crasterand have a 30 minute walk along the coast and cliffs. Very flat and easy walk. The castle is more of a ruin and not lived in like Alnwick or Bamburugh Castle
Lovely walk along the cliff to a wonderful ruined castle - beautiful! Climb to the top of the tower for views.
Clubhouse open to anyone, not just golfers as its used by walkers aswell. Friendly and informal with a good menu. Great setting.
Very good golf course which will ask you to play a variety of shots in any weather. Every hole different and great condition considering time of year. Clubhouse/food/service excellent and made to feel most welcome. Well worth visiting.
The walk along the beach to Dunstanburgh Castle is simply beautiful and took us about 50 minutes. Our return walk was along the edge of the golf course and equally enjoyable. Very pleasant service at the golf. Lub.

We played this on a very windy day. The cousre has an interesting layout but the views are magnificent. Well worth a visit. The club house takes golfers and walkers so is very busy, (be careful of the cake though , it is £4.50 a slice).
Like - convenient, public welcome in clubhouse, life saver in the rain Dislike - nothing - I am not a golfer so golfers may have different views!!
a typical sea side golf course with lush fairways and greens great to play
