Historic insight into the island's history............you'll need to rent a car to see all the ruins.

So far from anywhere near our resort that I felt compelled to make the journey to this tourist must see. Don't go. It's a lousy road that is not straight..."Straight ahead, mon."..Yeah, sure. After a half hour you find yourself in desparate straights...no other hotels, resorts. No water in sight from the narrow 2 lane road. Basically, nothing to see.... More

The tombs are worth seeing (though it's a very short stop) but what I don't understand is this: From the point where one parks to see the tombs, continue down the hill to the end and find a graveyard of the locals. We wondered why the graveyard of the slave overseer is worthy enough to be marked, but not the... More

If you like history then you need to take a trip to the Rolle town Tombs. Hire a driver for the day and ask him for the tour. You will find the tomb of the Rolle's and their infant along with the plaque telling you about how they passed. You might have a hard time trying to find it on... More

You will get to see most of the island if you come down to Rolle Town. Everything is small and lovely in the Exumas so place close attention to the signs.

uneventful experience with nothing much to see. The views from top of the hill and seeing how the locals live might be interesting to some travelers.

The road was washed out maybe due to the hurricane so it was tricky getting to them. They are within a community and I wasn't sure if we were in the right place or not. But when we drove out, we saw the sign. We did not get out of the car.

The main picture with this attraction is one part of the ruins. The main picture is the grave of an overseer and his wife. The main graveyard is about half a mile away. They are of interest but not very well maintained. The trip is worth making for the views from Rolle Town out over the Ocean and offshore islands.

It's amazing to see history preserved. We visited as part of a tour of the island and found the history of Great Exuma itself to be interesting.

It was hard to get to, roads were very poorly paved. The signs were easy to follow down to the tombs. The tombs were well maintained but the grass was overgrown. It was a nice stop if you were on your way to something better. I was glad to be able to read about the history of the island here.
