We spent about two hours here walking the delightful trails and learning about the plants of the island. This was well worth it! The preserve is still being constructed and the folks there are very knowledgeable and accommodating. We would definitely return!

This preserve is not so much an effort to preserve the plants at this location, but an effort to build an environment of native plant life of the Bahamas. Lots of plants have been brought in and lots of foreign invasive plants have been removed. I especially liked the epiphytes... More

The variety of plant life here is impressive- We were given a print out of the names of the plants that we passed on the pathways- some were in dire need of water - but then, we are nearing the end of winter and the dry season so I am assuming that they will green up once the rainy season... More

It's quite amazing that right next to Pineapplefields Resort and Tippy's Restaurant (the rather sleepy epicenter of Eleuthera) this magnificent nature preserve has recently opened. There's a great deal to see and learn (in a subdued way), and all the buildings are very handsome. The trails are beautifully but very simple done, and kids should enjoy exploring. A great look at native plants and uses. Paths are nice for walking (even in flip-flops). The view at the top is quite nice.
