Go to the museum first and check their hours. Shop at Vernon's Grocery (ask someone for directions) and buy their Key Lime pie. Stroll the town. Swim in the ocean behind the Hope Town hotel. The only thing I didn't like were the flies when we ate at outdoor restaurants.

Just came back from a week long stay at Leapin Lizards in Hopetown. I traveled with six adults and eight teenagers. We absolutely loved the charming Hopetown. We rented three golf carts and had easy transportation everywhere on the island. The house had the perfect layout with the beach cottage and the main house. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub,... More

The beach is stunning & begs you to take a long walk searching for sea glass, shells or sea beans. The ocean waters are of a rare turquoise clarity meeting powder sugar sands. Restaurants, a new coffee shop, also a new wine bar, baked bread delights by Vernon, the iconic candy-striped lighthouse, charming little pathways with names like Lover's Lane,... More

No crime, charming, hard to get to. No cars are allowed in town and everything is very well maintained, and a lovely little harbor.

A must-visit location if in the area, Elbow Cay has shops, marinas, restaurants, hotels and a plethora of rental accomodation. Moorings are available in the harbour or tie up at one of the marinas, all have great views of the natural harbour and the amazing lighthouse.

I've just written a review at some length for the Hope Town Lodge (well recommended), but as I wrote a good bit about Elbow Cay itself, I'll paste that part of my review in here. If you're interested, the full review for the lodge is the one titled “Perfect Balance of Amenities and Small Charm on a Beautiful Beach” and... More

If you are debating about whether or not to go to Hope Town - GO! It is simply amazing. My family and I stayed there for a couple of days during our sailing trip throughout the Abaco Islands, and we loved it. The crystal blue water, soft sand beaches, quiet sea breeze, and swaying palm trees won’t fail to impress... More

I had a wonderful get a way in Hope Town I meet the friendliest people. Don't miss Hope Town Coffee Roasters, Firefly, Tahiti Beach, North Point, finding all the cemeteries, and the long beautiful beaches.

The pure beauty of the island. The clear water, beautiful beaches. Not crowded or overly touristy. We loved just walking around the settlement of Hope Town and getting to know the people.
