No rip tides, no pounding surf, just wonderful clean sand, miles of it to walk upon and warm water. Take time to cleanse your mind....and make sure that it is low tide when you arrive. It would be a shame to drive all that way and only see half of this natural wonder. More

Beautiful park, blue holes are really neat. Mangrove swamps are beautiful, and Gold Coast beach is great at low tide. I would recommend kayaking through the mangroves if you want to spend the $. The beach has no shade so come prepared. Snorkeling off the beach requires a 300 yard swim out to the reef More

Rented a car and drove out to Lucayan National Park. The drive is easy, takes approx 30 minutes and is well worth it. The park is out toward the eastern end of the island, away from the development of Freeport. The is a very nice lady who sells soft drinks and snacks at the side of the road and the... More

My family and I visited this national park. We walked the tracks through the scrub on the Northern Side of the road and went down the stairs into Bens Cavern. Fresh water sits on top of salt water about 30 feet (10m) below. There are fish that have come from the ocean and halve adapted to living in fresh and... More

it was a bit of a drive on our scooter but well worth it. if you want to get away from all the people an hang out on an amazing beach this is the place to go. best beach on the island by far, but take food and drinks because there is nothing around for miles...and lots of sunscreen. More

The caves are awesome, especially on a clear sunny day when the sun shines down and shows you how spectacularly clear and blue the cave water really is. Lots of fish and life here too. Boardwalk to Gold Rock Beach is fun, especially if you brought bread along to feed the fish and birds along the way. The big fish... More

Gold Rock Beach alone is worth the visit! It is the most expansive, beautiful, and least developed beach on the island. Absolutely incredible that this beach has been retained in such a pristine state given the development pressures on Grand Bahama. The walk to the beach is along a boardwalk through a mangrove stream/marsh. The walk offers incredible wildlife viewing...red... More

The National Park isn't large, and it won't take you long to complete the trails on both sides of the road, but we enjoyed stretching our legs (it made a change from lounging around with a rum cocktail in hand). We even managed to spot the elusive, but very popular racoons! More
