Stopped at maho bay after waterlemon cay, unbelievable ? 12 plus turtles all sizes , rays everywhere off the right point group of 4 buried in deep sand, however they could be found everywhere in the bay, nurse shark, lemon shark, lots of beautiful fish and a beautiful protected beach! Water was so calm and beautiful my family was blown... More

Went to Maho Bay four time during our stay in St. John. Was our favorite beach. Water is clear, pretty shallow for a good ways off the beach. The sand is nice and soft. Fairly flat beach. Good snokling alond the right side out to the rocky point. All kinds of sea life. There are large patches of sea turtle... More

The waves are gentle, the beach is beautiful and you never want to leave. Very safe surf for families.

Maho was my second favorite of all the beaches on the north shore. It had a southeast Asian kind of feel to it. There was literally no waves and instead of the clear blue of most of the other beaches, the water here was more like an emerald (to me) Less crowded than Trunk and ample parking. We snorkeled and... Let's just say, we saw sea turtles here for the first time and it made my trip! I was waiting a long time and they were hanging out at Maho the whole time. There is a lot more green grass in the water for them to feed on so there's a better chance to catch them. There were a lot... More

Maho Bay is just after Cinnamon and is a must see for snorkeling and for those who don't even have the equipment to go. Nurse sharks and stingray seemed to float right on up and were clearly visible without even getting our masks on. At the same time they bothered no one and were just two among other sea life... More

This beach is breathtaking- it is right next to the road. There is no official paved parking lot like Trunk or Cinnamon, but you can find spaces to park. It was not terribly crowded. There were quite a few boats in the bay but that just added to the scenery. We went swimming here and those snorkeling saw a sand... More

We saw two different turtles and a sting ray snorkeling out past the point. The beach was a little too busy for my taste but the snorkeling was good once you got out from the beach. Rude yacht people on the beach and in their dingys.

This is a very nice beach but can get crowded. Today it got crowded and loud. We did snorkel a little and saw a couple of turtles and a stingray. Don't come here for the snorkeling.

One of my favorite beaches on St John. Convenient if you have beach chairs and cooler and snorkeling gear and towels! Plenty of shade if you want to escape the sun. Beautiful water and a good place to snorkel and see rays, turtles and fish. Just off North Shore Road ...
