My wife and I took this tour on 4/29/13. We were fortunate and were the only ones on the tour. Our guide Shawn was knowledgeable about the mangroves, local sealife and birds. As we both have kayaked and snorkeled before, we did not need instruction and we started our tour immediately. We kayaked to a shallow area to snorkel. We... More

Took the 5 hour VI ecotour. Go with a small group because you can only move as fast as the slowest person. The area is very shallow so we were able to see the spotted eagle rays. In the mangroves there is abundant bird and fish life. Eventually you end up snorkeling part of the mangrove in about 3 feet... More

I'd taken this tour nearly 4 years ago with family and decided to try it again with my girlfriend. I'd recalled how educational and fun the combination of events was as well as how beautiful the sites we trekked to were. Things I'd forgotten at the time, I'm 5 years older than I was then and it is a somewhat... More

I'm honestly, a little surprised at reading some of the past reviews, so I'm writing one. We had been snorkeling before on St. Thomas, so we opted for this cruise to see a different area. I felt the cruise was well done. Our guides, Audrey and Lorilei (sorry if I misspelled the names), were extremely knowledgable of the area and... More

My daughter, son-in-law, 2 granddaughters (ages 10 and 13), and I took the Eco tour today..kayak, hike, and snorkel.. and thought it was an amazing excursion, well worth it. Sean was our guide and was very patient, informative, and so knowledgable answering all the questions we had. His enthusiasm for the beautiful environment was catching and made us appreciate the... This outing was virtually perfect. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very informative. They got us into the kayaks pretty quickly given the numbers and then gave a very interesting overview of the ecosystem of the mangrove. Then snorkeling over some old ruins with many colorful fish, rays etc. Then a very enjoyable short hike before kayaking back. At one... More

This was a great kayaking/hiking/snorkeling excursion. Zulu, Sean and Jelly were fabulous. There was another guide also but I can't remember her name...regardless they were all very helpful and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the mangroves and the species on the island. I have never snorkeled before but it was calm waters and a great place to learn and... More

We had a great day with wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings! We dropped by to see if they had a tour we could be part of, and they fit us in without any complaints. VI EcoTours was fantastic. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience. Our tour was a small group so it was intimate & gave us more opportunities to learn from our guide. We had Travis as hour guide & he was great! Very informative, had lots of information and he was always willing to take photos for us. We loved this trip. It was 3 hours of... More

beautiful tour of the mangrove habitat on St Thomas. Zulu was our guide and he did a good job in filling in the background and value of this unique environment. We did the snorkel, hike and kayak, and enjoyed all parts of the tour, and had a great time with the laid- back Zulu. I have been going to St.... More
