This is a pretty good shopping area if you want to avoid the "downtown" district. It's got a lot of the same stores and the prices are equivalent. Most cruise ships dock at Havensight shopping pier. No need to take Jitney to town which is about 2 miles and just too hot to walk. Stopped here as a cruise stop. Started and ended the day shopping here and had a ball. Look at all the shops and you're bound to find that special gift. More

It just looks like a tourist trap but if you stay away from the silly overpriced chairlift thing and junk... There is a wonderful bookstore; several nice gift shops; a cool st John bay rum bottling factory and store; a Payless shoe store; and my favorite grocery store with international foods and supplies. If you want to do some quick shopping before heading back onto your cruise ship, it is a great place to go and pick up a few souvenirs. However, a lot of the items are in the same stores. And even the same stuff on different nearby islands. If you want something more unique, I would not suggest going here.... More
