We took this as on excursion during our Princess Cruise. The "Blackbeard's Revenge" pirate schooner met us right on the pier by the cruise ship and took us out to Turtle Cove (about 30 min ride). There were drinks (alcoholic and non) available, and nachos with salsa for the ride back. There is a washroom onboard. The snorkeling was great... More

Our day with Alex, Steve, and Dawn on the Doubloon Pirate Ship to view the sea turtles was one of the highlights of our cruise. Dawn led our group around the sea grass beds and reefs. We were able to get within feet of young green sea turtles feeding along the bottom and surfacing for air---an unforgettable experience. Dawn also... More

We love the Doubloon and it's crew. We had done this excursion on a cruise ship in 2009 and loved it so much that we did it again this year when we were visiting St. John. It is a day of snorkeling, beautiful views and fun for all ages. This time we rented the boat with our large group of... More

We've been out on the Dancing Dolphin (August 2011) and the newest of the pirate fleet, the brigand Blackbeard's Revenge (November 2011). We chartered the Doubloon (October 2010) for our wedding party. The ships are all comfortable and accommodating, and the crews are all absolutely terrific, so attentive and respectful and downright FUN! Plus the opportunity to actually swim around... More

My husband and I chose this snorkeling adventure because we really wanted to see sea-turtles, and a boat-ride sounded like a fun way to get there. The crew were very animated and fun, and they made the trip there, and back, an experience all alone. The snorkeling was some of the best I have ever experienced, we did get to... More

My husband and I went on the full day excursion in Nov 2009, when we were back in St Thomas in Apr 2011 it was a hands down do over. Originally we sailed on the Bones ship with Capt Alex and Jason, this past time on the Silent Lady with Capt Dave, Gabe and Dana. Each time the crew was... More

Very organized from the cruise dock to the Doubloon and back. The energy and synergy of the crew members made the trip out to Turtle Cove an absolute riot. Everyone on board had a great time going to the cove and back again. We got to see several different turtles along with beautiful coral and brightly colored marine life. What... More

This execursion was perfect. The kids were concerned that would we not get to ride on the Pirate Ship but we did... the kids loved it.. they even got to help raise the sail. Christie was so informative about the sea life. We had a great time-well worth the money- the kids are still wearing their shirts with the Pirate... More

While on a Disney Cruise, our ship stopped at St. Thomas. We booked directly through the cruise line. The crew picked us up right outside of the ship and guided us to their "pirate" ship at the other end of the port. It was about a 10 minute walk. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The ride over to Turtle... More

During my cruise with RCI to the Eastern Caribbean, we had a stop in St. Thomas. Among the list of shore excursions on the list we decided to choose the snorkeling for sea turtles operated by Doubloon. When we stepped down from the ship, we found the Doubloon staff stationed at the port, which is really convinient. We followed them... More
