Located along the boardwalk and harbor this historic fort is a must see. Built in 1749 it is surprising that it had never been under fire. Highly recommend.

My group enjoyed touring this old fort. We couldn't believe the size of the tiny little prison cells. Overall, a good attraction to visit.

I love history, so this was a must. It is beautiful, there's a nice sheet to explain what you're looking at, and the history of Denmark's colonial days was fascinating.

A major Dutch slave trade fortification. Fantastic construction; shocking situation for black slaves in the 1700s. $3 entrance fee, worth seeing this piece of history.

Interesting historically, lovely view from the top, and clean restroom. It's a small fort, but only $6.

I found this to be a great place to bring my son. He learned about the slaves and went into the dungeons were they were kept. Also spectacular views of the bay.
