Bryan, the guide, gave us and our whole family a night-time tour of the bay with the bio-luminescent micro-organisms. It was one of the rare "WOW" moments in life.
Thanks Bryan and Jill

Found this excursion/tour through TripAdvisor & took the others advice and I am so glad we did! Fairly quick taxi ride to Cane Bay Beach, found our tour guide and chatted with Kelly, his parrot! We had only 7 people on the tour with us. Bryan our guide was so full of interesting knowledge of the area, right from the...

We were two couples and did the bio bay tour in the hopes of catching one of natures great (and vanishing) phenomenons.
The key takeaways:
1) The pedal sea-kayaks were amazing, superbly maintained and effortless to use.
2) Brian was very funny, knowledgeable and the whole evening was very entertaining (and relaxing because of the superb kayaks)
3) The bio...

Brian, the tour guide, is very knowledgeable and passionate about the local history and culture of the indigenous people of St Croix and the surrounding islands. We were given an introduction to the history, a chance to view reproduction artifacts and canoe in their studio before we headed to the water. Our tour group was small, being only 4 people...

We booked a kayak tour directly with Virgin Kayak instead of through the cruise ship. Taxi to their shop was $18 per person. They had both dual and single person kayaks. The foot pedal operation really makes it easy and having a rudder means that steering is simple. Sooo much better than using paddles, plus you can cover more distance...

Booked on our own rather than through cruise ship. Relaxed tour, provided some nice historical context, hosts knowledgeable and friendly. Saw some wrecked boats, big sea turtles, sea birds and mangroves. Pedal kayaks don't require coordination - kept my husband and I from arguing over paddling, which usually happens when we kayak. Bathrooms at base were spotless.
Taxi system to...

We went on a kayak tour to Shell island with Virgin Kayak Tours on St.Croix, USVI. It was really one of the best experiences we had on the island. Jill and Bryan were fantastic and also very knowledgeable. We learned all kinds of interesting things about the history, trees, and sea life around St.Croix. We loved their kayaks too. They...

When you come in on a cruise and decide to take a private excursion there is always some second thoughts. Did I pick the right trip and will it all work out? We came in to St. Croix last week with a reservation for Virgin Kayak Tours. Booking online is easy and Jill, the owner, is very timely in responding...

We had the best day Kayaking in St. Croix VIrgin Islands last week. Jill and Bryan couldn't have been more accommodating to our family of 3. We rented a car and were a tad bit late and yet they waited for us to arrive and greeted us with a warm welcome. They are so helpful in explaining how the kayaks...

My daughter and I took the bio-luminensce tour with Virgin Kayak Tours with Bryan as our guide. We entered the water at the spot where Christopher Columbus landed on his second voyage and peddled our kayaks around to a cove.
The kayaks used by Virgin Kayak Tours are state-of-the-art peddle kayaks, by Hobie Cat. Paddles are provided if one wants...
