We have been going to this side since 1987, it has changed a lot over the years, but it is pretty much the same. This sand is heavier and more yellow, their is great snorkelling, and it is pretty isolated. There is some fun facts of what has been going on here over the years. A game show from France... More

We were driving around the island on our last day of vacation and stopped at Northwest Point. The road is a bit rough and hard to see on coming vehicle. The point opened up to a remote beach with good snorkling about 100 yards offshore. There was interesting vegetation and a few birds. When we were there the tide was... More

Although some of the road there is a bit rough, worth taking a drive out one afternoon if you want to see some unspoiled scenery and have a dip.

We took the time to drive up to Northwest Point and get out and walk around. This area is very remote and you will need a car to get there. We didn't spend a lot of time there as it was very windy and a bit chilly. The beach was very clean and offered some different views compared to the... More

too windy and remote location, but a lovely private beach so if you don't mind being pretty much on your own private beach its great, the week we were there it was pretty windy so not too comfortable on the beach except for the last day and then it was lovely

a bit weedy...but there are many clear spots just swim out a few meters...very few people around so great to take a cooler with some drinks and spend a few hours on your own deserted piece of the island

Northwest point is not easy to reach. I went on the bike from Froggies Ultimate tours based in Blue Hills. We went up the sand paths through a lot of vegetation as far as we could get that particular morning but had to stop and turn back as the tide came in. It was a great ride and fantastic way... More

The beaches are nice enough if you are starved for sun and sand, but the ones 40 minutes away in Grace Bay are cleaner and better maintained. The plus is that NWP is secluded, with almost no one around, while GB is heavily populated, with the resorts claiming their territory with guest-only areas on the beach that make you feel... More

nice beach (although not as nice as grace or long beach). not groomed and much seaweed. at west end of the island (about two miles down a dirt road) and only one resort (northwest point condos) there. we went about 11 am and the place was deserted! we saw one person that appeared to be a maintenance person. no one...
