I visited with the Administrative Professionals from the Ministry and although it rained a bit during our guided tour of the facility, we had a wonderful time. The tour guides were knowledgeable and the exhibits both interesting and educational.

We visited here as part of a tour assembled by Gail's Exclusive Tours. A great guide and lots of Trini school kids and families. I loved the scarlet ibis and the ducks of which there were plenty. Guide was very knowledgeable.

The only one of a kind in the world. A bird sanctuary set in the midst of an oil refinery in Trinidad. Beautiful birds and trees and flowers everywhere you look. If you like Macaws you are going to love Frankie a blue and gold macaw who was rescued, he had a broken wing and a damaged foot, thank goodness... More

I go here whenever I can. Beautiful place with waterfowl and other bird life. I especially enjoy the peacocks when they put their tails up. I am yet to see the white peacock with tail up...so elusive! Be sure to call to make reservation to visit because you have to go through two security barriers/checks to enter the compound and... we were only here for an hour and had plenty of time to look around their small museum and then to wander with the guides around the lake. We saw quite a few birds here and it was interesting to hear about their work to save endangered birds. Some are in cages including the scarlet ibis, but seemed happy enough.... More

If you enjoy nature photography this is the place. The park and the grounds leading up to it offer many good photographic opportunities. In just two hours we saw a multitude of peacocks and ducks, several scarlet ibis, four caiman, an owl, a couple of exotic caterpillars, a giant cutter ant colony and a variety of other birds. In order... More

Somewhat counterintuitively, this conservation and education-oriented facility is housed in the center of PetroTrin. The center is dedicated to teaching local children about the importance of preserving the environment. Nice work.

If you are not a fanatical birder, this a great place to see mainly water fowl, close up, in their natural environment without the discomfort of trekking through swamps and jungle. We saw a huge variety in just a couple of hours.
