Go here to get a REAL idea of what island living was like in the 18th century. It is also the farther place up the mountain you can drive to. Trails up into the rainforest are right there.

most places on Nevis require a car. It is not easy to get around or find things. We got to Peak Heaven where we met the wonderful owner who walked us around, gave us a lot of history about the place and we had a lovely lunch there. Very interesting experience!
