On January 24, 2012, six colleagues and I, together with two guides, climbed Mount Gimie, the highest point in St Lucia. This is not a near vertical climb like the Petit Piton. It is not a moderate walk like the Gros Piton. It is a long and arduous hike. The weather is important. The summit can be misty and cold.... More

Make no mistake about it, this is one tough hike. The hiking guide to the Caribbean that I used lumped this in with a nature preserve trail in the same area and rated both collectively a 2-3 on a scale of 5. That was extremely misleading. Mt.
