Extremely private and so beautiful. We went snorkeling. Saw a rare sea turtle lay eggs, which was a huge deal. And relaxed all day watching horses and enjoying the weather which was perfect.

The problem with visiting Vieques and Culebra are the ferries. The beaches are spectacular on both islands. Unfortunatley you have to get up very early to get in line for your ticket and then are not sure that they won't be sold out before you get to the window. The best way to beat this is to contact EllisPRTours on...

Big wide, shallow warm waters that whisper 'paradise' into your ears. Lots of space, only two other groups when we were there late afternoon. Warm, clear waters. Not great for snorkeling, but this is not what this beach is about. No facilities, BYOEverything.
lovely beach, deserted, beautiful clear water and easily accessible by car. you can park right next to a covered, open shelter, so you don't have to hike in and the place was still nearly deserted. there were only a handful of people when we went on a thursday, and by 3:30 or so everyone had left and we had the...

LOVED blue beach- the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. Loved how completely remote it was too- we had it to ourselves. It's not a trip to Vieques without going.
Playa Chiva (aka "Blue beach") is a beautiful beach with easy road access, no jeep needed. I've heard about thievery problem there, but nothing happened to me.
like most beaches on the island Blue Beach is uncrowded, turquoise water, peaceful. Easily accessible.
Pristine beach and waters. Wonderful beach walking. This is what "beach" is about. Don't miss it on your trip to Vieques.
Amazing beach. Unfortunately they are only open weekends for a while due to clean-up efforts but this was my favorite beach. I would suggest renting snorkel gear from Backbeard's and good suncreen. Amazing.
This was a very nice beach that was large and wide in a fairly protected bay. There was only one other group there on a week day. I believe it is the same as the one named La Chiva on the local maps.
