This was a nice, non-strenuous trail to La Mina Falls. It took us about 45 min each way and we enjoyed the trail. We took a few photos of nature along the way. It really was nice to be in a rainforest, seeing so much vegitation! We read all the signs on the right on the way to the falls,... More

Worth it for the birder- you get a chance to get up close and personal with lots of wildlife on this trail. Wear your best trail shoes- it can be steep at times. More

If you're looking to get back to nature, you might want to find another trail. When we were there, it was crowded with people trying to do the same thing we were and it was just too many. Parking was terrible - perhaps dangerous is the right word. We went mid-day and perhaps that was a mistake. Very early or... More

I had done this hiking for almost 30 years. Now is better for older people since they have now a good cement trail. It is still hard for people with medical problems. More

The trails are constructed with concrete with large flat rocks that get very slippery. You need to take care of where you are placing your feet and not taking in all the beauty of the rain forest. Get there early or the trails will be crowded. More

The big trees and palms make a good contrast to the creek only view of La Mina, but you need a pickup at the different parking lot... or walk back along the road. Not too far. More

This trail was very easy and taken care of. Training shoes are not necessary but they can make the trail easier. It's not a long trail either - you can walk all the way to the falls, spend some time in the water or just hanging out and make it back to the car in about 1hr. There are no... More

I walked this trail last year (per my review below) in fairly sturdy sandals but this year I wore running shoes which made it much easier and enjoyable. At the beginning it’s quiet with informative plaques. Then it hugs a river until you get to the end at La Mina Falls. The scenery is very nice and you get to... More
