The zoo is small which is ok since it allows you to see the animals up close. The bird aviary is fantastic, nice to walk through and see the birds up close. Parking is expensive and we received (but didn't ask for) an electronic information guide. We got there about 30 minutes after the zoo opened for business. We were... More

Visited zoo with my wife and two children (3&7). It needs a make over and some renovations. The cages were semi dirty and no kiosks were open in the zoo to get a drink or food. The soda machine also did not work. When we first arrived and asked about strollers to rent I was told no rentals. Only after seeing... More

The animals looks very healthy, nice walking by all the trails to see the animals, everything clean. The only part not good to see is the Serpentarium, was dark and not propertly clean, just that area. The rest of the Zoo was perfect, and the audio guides is an excellent idea, very helpfull. More

This is a great attraction for families. Lots of animals in generous pens, many birds and iguanas grace the walkways so the experience is enjoyable, up-close and personal haha More

Really surprised when saw the new things that this zoo will be including in its activities. New zip lines all over zoo animals will be a great adventure experience. Just waiting the opening to go there and enjoy zip lines adventure. Animals were happy and area just perfect for animal's habitats. Congrats. Continue your great job. More

As with many zoo not all of the stations were occupied. Otherwise, a nice selection of well display animals. Limited hours on the aviary and the bug house. One attendant at the bug house tried to keep us from entering despite there being 15 minutes remaining which turned out to be enough time. More

If only I could win the lotto or be a millioner I would surely make this place more livable for all these creatures. The zoo is a little expensive, but I didn't care as long as it is to keep them alive. The animal areas need more shading- be renovated, and, also, it's needed to add more space. So sorry... More

If you are on vacation and you want to break the routine of beach hopping every day, this zoo offers you a great half-day activity that still keeps you fairly close to nature. The zoo is set inside the rainforest in Mayaguez so you feel the "green" of the island as you walk through the exhibits. The zoo is small... More

Handsomely mounted. Self-paced tour was just right, with an English conversation between a guide and a zoologist. When you reach an exhibit, you press that number in the headset -- any order. Animals have enough room to move around in native settings. A lion relieved himself through the bars onto grass at his territory's edge, so he kept his own... More

This small zoo has a lot to offer, but I'm attracted to zoos. The number of tree iguanas hanging about overhead, underfoot, nearly freaked me out. More
