Inexpensive site to visit, offers great views. Just blocks from Hotel El Convento.

Nice walk and beautiful location; the price is right ($3 when we were there) and one paid entrance fee gets yo in all sites for a week.

Add this one to your to do list in old San Juan. We discovered just how important PR has been throughout history. The succinct and informative displays were excellent and the incredibly cheap $3 entrance fee worth every cent. We had a great afternoon wandering around the fort and imagining the events this great city has seen.

we came to both forts and it was worth it. expect to walk a bit as the walk from the entrance is far. also, if you are going to take the trolley - it is free and rec'd, make sure you time it as it runs but every so often.
the view from el morro is beautiful. definitely a place...
