We stopped unplanned to the monument and paid $5USD entrance fee per person. The gravesite was a small mausoleum and ornately painted. There is a small house (where Peter Tosh was raised), and very small gift counter offering t-shirts, CDs and ganja. A guide showed us the special "flower garden" (with rows of marijuana plants) and a few interesting trees...

It makes most sense to visit this simple place, if you are travelling along the coast, away to or from Negril. there is not enough here to merit a long detour. I actually didn't go here in 2012, but went in 2011 and 2010. The monument is located in Belmont about a 45-60 minute drive from Negril in the childhood home of Peter Tosh. We met some of his cousins and actually spoke to his mother.

Very spiritual experience for me just to walk on the same piece of earth .He was a great rasta and an excellent human being .A true Jamaican in every sense of the word.

Nothing much there, I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to see it. If you're passing by it's worth a stop.

We didn't know what to expect , but when we arrived to the Peter Tosh Monument, we were impressed with the peaceful and beautiful layout. Ramone showed us around and we even met Peter Tosh's mom. Unforgettable.
