Randy (aka John Wayne, VIP Tours, Negril) recommended this place for us. This is a well preserved original plantation greathouse. It was owned by the family of Elizabeth Barrett Browning and contains many interesting antiques and musical instruments. The tour was interesting as the history of the times, the family and the artifacts were well explained. The pieces in this... More

A gem. You'll like it, if not for the view alone, it's an interesting little tour of Jamaican history.

Greenwood is a beautifully preserved part of Jamaica's history. It has many very interesting pieces and has a spectacular view of the Jamaican coastline. Our guide Thora was a treat - very knowledgeable and friendly. The grounds are also great if you just want to hang out for a bit after your forty five minute tour.

We decided to visit Greenwood great house after checking online and we were happy that we went. I had read a previous review complaining about the well rehearsed patter from the tour guide, well we thought Thora our tour guide to be very informative and quite engaging, she gave us a great tour and made our visit interesting. We spoke... More

A charming old plantation house that less frequently visited by tourists - from the guest book it appears to average about 10 a day. The entrance fee of $20 US includes a personal guide to take you through the house, providing history and demonstrating some of the old musical instruments in the house.

Greenwood Great House is a preserved plantation house of great charm situated overlooking the sea less than 10k West of Falmouth. The narrow road approach probably precludes the onslaught of the cruise ship hordes and thank Heaven for that. The house is situated in a peaceful succession of small but charming gardens and is a quiet oasis from the coast... More

I liked this old plantation. It's good to go and see and feel history. If you have the time to take a detour, it's worth the trip!

This house is beautiful with an amazing view, and filled with incredibly maintained pieces. The different musical devices are very interesting and the demonstrations by the tour guide were great. It's definitely worth the entrance fee and not as "touristy" as others.

We arrived in Montego Bay on a ship. We wanted to go to Greenwood Greathouse and Falmouth. We found Ashton Pitt through TripAdvisor. Ashton was very professional, great with email communication, and picked us up at the port and took us straight to Greenwood Greathouse. The view was fantastic. The historic contents of the house rival many museum collections...lots of... More

Like all "Great Houses" that contain so much of interest and the guides are always full of information to pass over to you.
