We were satying in a hotel near Saint-Francois in Grande-Terre and decided to take a day trip to Les Saintes. We took a direct ferry from Saint-Francois around 8:00 am which took a bit more than an hour for the crossing. Ferries also go to and from Trois Rivieres in Basse-Terre and some other towns on the big islands. We... More

Les saintes archipel are a wonderful place! Choose carefully your tiem to go there ( dont go on the 15th August period if you wanna have peace) Its a peaceful community and a relaxing atmosphere. The food there is simply delicious. Plan to stay maximum 4 days, visit both Terre de haut and Terre de bas. After 4 days you... More

I went for three weeks to Guadeloupe, of which I spent 4 days in Les Saintes. I was amazed by it's beauty, although rubbish is everywhere! and I don't mean plastics and food or things like that, I mean old cars, and beds and everything big you can't use anymore. They just put them inbetween the nature and let them... More

Beautiful small island, very clean and "cozy", people are very friendly. You can rent a scooter or even walk around the island, it takes about 4-5 hours to cross it on foot.. More

This group of small islands close to the main island Guadeloupe is really attractive and can best be explored by chartering a boat with a good dinghy so you are able to check out all the islands. The largest island Terre-de-Haute has an interesting old Fort which is worth a visit and the highest point of the islands can also... More

When I return to Guadeloupe, I will stay in Les Saintes. Small enough to manage, clean, beaches are beautiful and the people are very friendly. With small children I would recommend getting a scooter since there is a lot of walking. More

Just a wonderful island with wonderful sunsets, terrific restaurants, nice beaches and an atmosphere where time stops. Staying there is definitely off the beaten path after the last tourist ferry as left... If you want some days of relax, just go there, rent a scooter at Édouard`s , have a morning swim and snorkling at one of the beaches, have... More

Les Saintes is a collection of islands off the SE coast of Guadeloupe, the largest of which, Terre de Haut, has the only hotels. The town, Bourg, is a picturesque little ville on a gorgous bay with a number of restaurants overlooking the harbor. Only watersports and biking are available. No golf or tennis and no night life. The best... More
