Okay remember all those school trips that were educational but really fun cause you got out of class, that is Belmont Estates (and you will see Grenadian school children!) they make chocolate and they give you samples - need I say more! you can also have a buffet lunch upstairs which is good - but I am not a fan... Make sure you get the tour of this delicious place. I was able to walk the beans in the sun. The factory was simple and was still working. To see step by step how real chocolate was made tells me north america complicates their process. The fermenting beans smelled heavenly. The video featuring the original owners grand daughter was disheartening... More

We spent 3 weeks in Grenada, Caribbean in Jan & Feb (2013) - and tore ourselves away from our beautiful and relaxing little villa to explore the island, well worth it. The Grenada Chocolate Company is an organic cacao farm which harvests the beans and makes them ready for export or for chocolate production in the nearby chocolate factory. We... More

This facility isn't open for tours..go to the Belmont estate for tours and chocolate purchases! I think tours were done here a while ago but has since been stopped. We made the mistake of coming here but had to go to the Belmont estate instead.

Disappointed you can no longer tour the factory. Although it was quite interesting to see how the beans were processed at the Belmont estate. I was rather underwhelmed by the video and the whole experience. OK if you happen to be passing but not worth a special trip from St Georges area.

We had a tour through the process of growing and getting beans to machine. The rest was a video. One man took just us round. It was v interesting. We got several types of choc to try and a glass of hot chocolate - all for a fiver. Nice place for lunch there too, potentially

We did not actually manage to find the factory, but tried the chocolate!! Nibilicious is our fave. Its GORGEOUS!! Smooth and silky , full of intense chocolate flavor and crunchy nibs of cocoa bean. Tried the salt version but did not like that as much. We like the 80% best, not too strong . Tried the 100% and that was... More

I like everything. I toured the factory and viewed the history. It was veery good.I learnt a lot about the chocolate company. I saw how the processing was done. It is left to ferment naturally and then dried and done very carefully. The workers take great pride in their work.

We visited the Chocolate Factory years ago & I was given the privilege of "walking the beans", along with the other workers. Part of the reason we're going back this year! Now I hear it's banned because of "health reasons". Come on, the beans are left out in the open underneath palm fronds to ferment, open to nature, how do... More

The kids loved walking the cocoa and really working out what goes into producing a bar of chocolate. A visit to the shop on site is a must!
