We basically found this wandering around looking for something to do in Grenada from the cruise ship. Walked thru it and after about 30 minutes of exploring the other side, walked back. Didn't even know it was an attraction, but kinda cool.

As carribean tunnels go this is a good one! It was a bit confusing as to whether it was one way or 2 so we decided not to chance it by going both ways! I wouldn't go on a trip just to see this but if you are driving round St Georges it is fun to go through!

Its definately a photo op. very cool to see how the French built this tunnel instead of a bridge,

After driving along the splendid harbour-front Carenage, which is a one-way road, you enter the narrow Sendall Tunnel. This accommodates pedestrians as well as north-bound traffic but for some reason there is no unpleasantness due to exhaust fumes. The tunnel lies inland from and below Fort St George and leads to the main market (turn right a block or two...

Found it really cool to walk and drive through this little tunnel in the middle of town. Would love to know the history of the one side having Females Only imprinted into the cement. I suggest that you dig the dirt that is covering up part of this and putting up a little plaque explaining its meaning.

Shortest connection between the harbour and Carenage area and the centre of town. Careful with one way traffic passing through.

The tunnel is still used by vehicles and pedestrians so very busy. There is talk that it will become pedestrian only

This great bit of construction is an essential shortcut for walkers between the waterside of St Georges and the new ferry port where the cruise ships dock. However, it is also a road for motor vehicles and there is no designated path for pedestrians - Take care!!

what an experience; if walking through this tunnel keep close to the wall as you are walking with other people in single file and cars are coming towards you. Driving through for the first time in our hire car was also a bit unsettling a few years ago and judging the distance between pedestrians and width of unfamiliar big SUV!...
