I am really still shocked and hurt by what I saw there ! The owners try to convince you that *Dominincan horses* are skeletons with open sores ! We stayed at the Occidental Grand Flaminca resort, part of the package was a free 30 min. horseback riding excursion on the beach. We were introduced to a local dominic who calls himself "Johnny Be Good". He walks around the resort trying to sell excursions. I really like Johnny but wished we would have booked through someone at the resort... More

We opted for the free 30 minute ride; it was all our bodies could handle. When we got back to the stable, we played dominoes while we waited for the others to come back. We went to Punta Cana in April 2009 and stayed at the Occidental Grand Flamenco Resort. It is advertised that horseback riding is free- and there is a yellow shirted "Pandora's stables" staff member circulating in the main lobby every morning.
