This is a must see but a bit of a disappointment. It is a huge building but just not much to see. The center Columbus chest where his bones are (maybe) is neat. We travelled from Puerto Plata and made a quick stop at the Columbus Lighthouse. It's a nice large building and I'm sure would be a nice attraction to visit but all we did is take pictures from the road for 5 mihutes and carried on.

This is the waterfront fort/magazine and purportedly Christopher Colombus's first resting place. It's more of a museum now but worth a visit and the overall experience is a must feel

Place was dirty, as a ghost town. Inside, the expositions were outdated and without light (a common issue in the island). It is supposed that is like a big lighthouse that project a cross on the sky at night, but without electricity and manteinance, what can you expect?
