I visit the dominican republic twice a year and LOVE IT..... there are many things to do and the people are very friendly and willing to please you.... calle el sol reminds me of being in manhanttan..... the street is filled with people buying things, tourists buying memorbilias, it really gives you a feel of how life is in santiago...... More

“Very Crowd but full of colorful”

Walk across the Sol street and look for pintoreques shops, bazars and street vendors. Plenty of inexpensive places to eat regional cousine. Alone in the nights, poor nightlife in the area. lack of big hotels and night clubs. Take a bus and go to Puerto Plata for only three dolars. Most hotels for $15 and $20. good deal! More
