We just ignored the hustlers around the park and they go away. The band( Band of Santiago de Cuba) played there both Saturday and Sunday night. Very busy park even at midnight. Lots of people there. More

Given how large the city is, this was great place to just sit and watch the day pass by. It also doesn't hurt that it has two banks on either side of it, a hotel with a beautiful terrace restaurant overlooking the park and a historic cathedral at its other ends. There is also some live music here during the... More

A very central place and most tourist locations are all within a few blocks radius. It's a great spot to be dropped off at if you want to explore the downtown area. Lots of great restaurants and shop nearby. More

Fantastic location next to church, music and museums. Better check your answers for jineteros ahead of time - you will need them here, unless you want a guide to a paladar, taxi ride, tour around town and even to Castros grave (no, he is not dead yet). But people are great and will not bother you if you don't want... More

It is a very historical site and a very busy part of Santiago. The cathedral is adjacent and was originally built in 1522. Locals hope the Pope will visit there this year. Pollution from the diesel vehicles can be intimidating for anyone with breathing difficulties. There are always musicians playing in the park and lots of vendors. You will be... More

You can't miss this park if you're waking through Santiago! It is surrounded by a church, a huge hotel, and many cultural points in the city. While there is not much to do in the park, make sure you at least walk through it! More
