I did enjoy this museum, it was really interesting to see all the artifacts on display (although I was a little sceptical of some of them). It's a really good place to spend an hour or two wandering about reading and looking at the items - particularly the gory blood-soaked clothes on display!! But I didn't appreciate the staff trying... The Museum of the Revolution used to be the Presidential Palace before the 1959 revolution, and its the museum with the broadest take on the Cuban Revolution and its origins. Put aside at least 90 minutes for the visit plus another 15-20 minutes to wander around the display of the Granma boat outside and several vehicles associated with the anti-Batista... More

If you're interested in the communism and want to waste time on reading about the amazing Cuban revolution that led the country to where it is now, the revolution that brought the Cubans to poverty, then this museum is the right place to read about the magnificent things that Che, Fidel and Raul did. You have to visit but there is a striking contrast between this museum and the art gallery next door. The museum of the revolution is a bit run down and takes you battle by battle through the revolution. The history is striking but a better overview in English, some improved visuals, a sweeping newsreel, some added value, would have been... More

An amazing trove of relics from the Revolution and years after...all housed in an amazing building that silently speaks to the excesses of the previous regime. More

The museum/former palace is a magnificent piece of colonial Spanish architecture and is a good illustration of why Cuba had a revolution - a minority lived like corrupt kings while the populace struggled to survive. Complete with bullet holes in the marble entrance hall from when Castro and Che Guevara stormed the palace, the artifacts lean heavily towards photos from... More

There is a lot of museum in Havana. Museo de la revolucion you should not miss. There is a lot of thing to see,but I was impressed by the Granma yacht and following war crafts which have been used in revolution. Wether you like revolution or not,you should see how and with what equipment Castro and friend did their job.... More

This museum was interesting, not only because of the artifacts but also because it tells the Cuban story from the revolutionary point of view. It's not cheap by Cuban standards (6cuc) but it's a beautiful time capsule and well worth the visit. After reading some reviews on this site, I notice most negative reviews are focussed on the language (it's... More
