St. George's town is very much like the Bermuda version of Williamsburg. The difference is that this is the real deal. King's Square (don't confuse this with King's Wharf in the Dockyard at the other end of the island) is the center of town. Kings square is just a few steps from the ferry you can go in many directions from there. It is most fun around Noon each day when they reenact a dunking, punishment from colonial times, the town crier announces the event each day. The public participates in the judicial system before the dunking. More

King’s Square is very manageable and you can visit all the shops and buildings surrounding it.....worth checking out especially if you are catching the ferry back to the Dockyard. More

King's Square is so beautiful and it was a pleasure to visit. There are numerous things to see and do here for free! The town hall is beautiful and full of History. There are lovely stores in the area, tons of history and great places to eat! We rented a scooter for the date and explored the area in depth. More
