St. Catherine's is on the opposite side of Bermuda from the Dockyard and is closest to St. George's. It has a commanding vantage. If you came to St. George's on a cruise ship, it is the big fort you see on the starboard side before turning into the "cut" and heading into the harbor to dock. St. Catherine's has a... More

The Fort is one of the best if not the best in Bermuda. Has a very nice beach right beside the Fort. Beautiful. I was there in late February so not much swimming but the beach was deserted and beautiful. More

My wife and I enjoy history and we had a great time reading about the history of the island and the history of this fort. Seeing the canons and going down into the magazine, etc. helped our imaginations try to envision life at the fort during the 1800s. I could have spent the entire day there, but we had other... More

First off, if you're like my husband, these places are FAR more interesting than to most of the gal-friends we've shown this to ... We're usually in St.Georges on Sundays and Ft. St. Catherine's inner sanctums (under the 'big guns') are signed, 'closed'. The land surrounding them you are free to walk upon and look out on what it was... More

This fort is one of several open on Bermuda, and is well maintained and the exhibits within are clear and concise. The self guided tour takes approx. 1 to 2 hours, or longer if you search out greater details. It has many nooks and crannies to explore several levels, as well numerous displays of historic and almost modern armaments, also... More

We visited this historic site while riding along on some scooters. It is a piece of Bermuda History. Great spot for a picnic lunch with the husband. More

We went with our two kids...15 and 10. They had a lot of fun going through the tunnels, seeing the big cannons, and going up and down all the stairs and going through all the nooks and crannies. There favorite part was that there are 3 cats that spend time there. I'm not sure if they are pets, but they... More

We really enjoyed visiting Fort St. Catherine. Its location gives wonderful views of the shoreline. Catherine's Beach is found on one side of the fort. The have several exhibits inside the fort and they "fire" off the cannon during tours they offer there. More

If you like forts and are in Bermuda, I would make a trip to Fort St. Catherine. Like most sights in Bermuda, it is very clean and well kept. It is a nice sized fort but for comparisons, it is not as large as the forts in San Juan Puerto Rico. What makes the fort stand out are the fantastic... More
