I was expecting the usual bronze bust of a National Hero. Wrong!! This is an enormous, larger than life, bright, papier mâché looking, bust of V.C. Bird, first prime minister of Antigua. According to my guide book it is bronze but it certainly does not look it. It is better than the usual statues you see. V.C. being Vere Cornwall.... More

This monument is.....not sure how to describe it. It is a full on technicolor bust of V.C. Bird. Took me off guard. You will see it if you are driving around St. John's, down by the fish market and the docks. More
