Koal Keel served up some of the most innovative cuisine I have ever had. First, the restaurant sent a shuttle to pick us up (they run a FREE shuttle service to many of the hotels on the island). Take the tour of the plantation house, rum store and wine cellar. Food is good, not great. Skip the chicken that takes 24 hours to prepare in the rock oven. It was dry and bland. Great wine list and the other items on the menu are good. More

We ate at Koal Keel on the recommendation of an Anguilla blog and the concierge at our resort-both said this was the BEST restaurant on the island. When visiting Anguilla, this up-scale restaurant is a must. Koal Keel is a 200 year old sugar plantation that was lovingly restored by a local Anguillan, Lisa Gumbs.
